The Kim Banister exhibit was very interesting. All of the works seemed to relate to one another. They were all of people made with the same style. They seemed to be pencil type line drawings with water colors of some sort dripping down them. There was one of just a person's feet where the color streamed in the opposite direction. All of the paintings showed a lot of emotion; most of them seeming painful or sad to me. Most of the paintings were not framed and were very large. They all seem to tell some sort of story of either sadness, agony, or thought.
This painting is a human figure sitting, holding her legs. The colors are a small amount of light blue, a rust orange color, and some black. It is a line drawing of a woman and then water colors are streaming down the figure and off of the paper.
I think this piece is meant to show sadness. I feel this girl may be regretting something or concerned about something. Her face shows that she is thinking about something but her body language shows it may not be good. The way she is holding her body and looking down may be saying she is ashamed of something. The colors are also sad colors, black, blue, and a brownish orange. I find this piece very interesting because of its style and so much emotion. It makes me wonder what is going on in her head.
