A. The over all theme of the exhibition was booby traps. On the walls were colorful pieces done by silk screen printing. Every print was very simple in the fact that there was basically one object of focus in the artwork. The prints contained very common objects that portrayed in bold colors such as bright blue and pink. The artist also had three sculptural pieces that were placed spaciously out in the gallery. The sculptures were a parking barrier, bear traps, and a log with spears in it.
B. The picture above is the artwork I have chosen. The piece shows a pink calf that appears to be drenched in a yellow liquid. A puddle of the yellow substance is making a puddle that rest beneath the calf's feet. The cow, which is the focal point, is place upon an entirely white background.

C. I think that this picture represents a negative feeling towards American culture and our diet. The calf symbolizes the slaughter industry and how we treat animals in our country. The calf is standing alone and drenched in what I think looks like grease. The yellow grease represents our society's problem with fast foods (and unhealthy foods in general). The cow looks like it is smothered in the fat and ready to go get slaughter. The picture makes me sad looking at the baby cow because it makes me feel guilty. I feel bad knowing how animals are treated in the slaughter industry. Animals are treated without rights and I think that is portrayed here.
